Our Villa is in a prime location to explore everything Kalkan and the surrounding areas has to offer.

Kalamar Bay

The nearest cafes and supermarkets are only a 5-8 minute walk away, also offering a free delivery service direct to the Villa. The closest beaches are less than a 10 minute walk away. Kalamar Beach is a free beach with sun loungers and cafe. The blue flag beach of Kalamar Beach Club offers a range of water sports, scuba-diving as well as a restaurants/bar, sun loungers, umbrellas, showers and direct access into sea. A free transport service back to the Villa is also available. 

Kalkan Town Centre 

A 25 minute walk will take you into Kalkan Town Centre and Harbour with all the necessary amenities, an endless choice of restaurants, cocktail bars and shopping. The nearest hamam-spa and aroma therapy massage services are 5-10 minutes away.

Stunning Kaputas beach is 15 min drive away. The famous sandy Patara Beach is 18km long and is only 15 min by car or local bus.

Kalkan offers a variety of both roof top terrace and harbour front restaurants, bars and entertainment; many with spectacular views of the harbour, offering a mixture of regional Turkish/Mediterranean and European cuisine, as well as plenty of shopping and visiting local markets.

Around Kalkan

Diving, sailing, boat trips, canoeing, kayaking, horse riding, paragliding, historical and archeological tours can all be arranged in Kalkan.

The Villa is well placed for visiting many historical sites and walking the ancient Lycian Way. This part of the Lycian Peninsula is home to the spectacular sites of Patara, Letoon, Xanthos and the 18km canyon of the Saklikent Gorge, all within 15-30 minutes drive.

You can also visit the nearby towns of Kas (20 mins) and Fethiye (40 mins), the mountain villages of Islamlar with its trout farm restaurants and Bezirgan, a traditional Turkish village.

Please be aware that Kalkan and surrounding area is set on an incline with cobbled streets which can make walking difficult for the elderly, those with limited mobility or children in push chairs. Some of the roads to and from the apartment are hilly and unmade but cheap and safe taxi services are available.
