Koy - Kalamar Meltem Apartments
A slight niggle at the start, but very quickly resolved. Our Appartment had everything we needed. It’s got two beautiful pools outside, that are 1.5m deep, with a shallower one in between. Sun beds and a barbecue by the pools. Everything works well. I’m not big on walking, downhill is fine, uphill is a struggle. Luckily the taxis are fantastic. We always asked the price when we booked it. Never waited longer than ten minutes. In GBP it worked out about £3.84 (130 Turkish Lira) to get to the taxi rank in the old city, (They do not try to rip you off like taxis in some Cities. The drop off is the perfect spot to explore the beautiful quirky streets of Kalkan

We have a great stay at Villa Kismet as a group of 12. The villa itself is stunning, the pool is great and the rooms were very comfortable. All the terraced seating areas were stunning! Evening food and drinks on the top terrace has to be done!

Even nicer than the photos. Loved our balcony overlooking the look in the bay. Nice touches everywhere, from having water delivered and a water pump, plastic wine glasses for round the pool, water available round the pool, really well kept gardens and pool,. Thank you for a lovely stay. We wished we were staying longer, so hope to return next year!

The views are fantastic and two bed two bath villa is great as are the pool amenities . Taxis are only 70 (£2.50) to the old town and all taxi drivers know the villa. Only slight problem for some visitors may be the very steep roads in this area . Trainers are a must as anything else like leather shoes and you’ll be sliding around . Supermarket and a nice bar are 5-10 walk up the hill . We loved the villa and views and as I say taxis are best bet to get around .the villa has everything and we had a great welcome pack of food on arrival . Overall absolutely fabulous place with twin shared pools .

We had a great holiday in Feray’s lovely home .She was very helpful from start to finish .She organised our transfer .When we arrived very late there was some fresh fruit and some essentials for us which was
very thoughtful .Our
return flights was really late too and she let us to check out late .The house is so much spacious than the pictures .Locations is really good .There are two walk distance beaches .The shops are not far .Kalkan town centre is five minutes in the car .If you prefer to walk it is only 20 -25 minutes .Thank you so much again Feray !Its been a great holiday we will
come and stay here again .

Thank you so SO much Feray for the most amazing holiday. The apartment is stunning- the pictures don't do the breathtaking views justice! Really luxurious with every amentity you could ask for. Just perfect. Feray sent us a very helpful welcome pack with easy info on how to get the the apartment and what to do while we were there. The flat and surrounding pool area were immaculately clean and the house keeper had rather wonderfully left us a welcome pick with some very thoughtful and much appreciated goodies. Really, we were so thrilled with our stay and can not wait to return! Thank you so much.
We had a lovely time at the apartment, the views were spectacular, the pools and sunbed area as described. In August we discovered that you did need a taxi both ways into town in the evening, as so hot, but at 12tl each way it wasn't a problem. We loved the Kalamari beach club which was a short distance from the apartment, pedalo's, kayaks, swimming pontoons for the cost of a sunbed. We would recommend a stay at the apartments.
The apartment was everything and more from the minute we had walked in to the time we had left. The apartment has everything one would need in self catering accommodation. Location and views are perfect, get your walking shoes on as some of the hills are quite steep. Would definitely stay there again on my next visit to Kalkan. Thanks again to Feray, her host Tamer and helper Suleyman who was every bit helpful.
The place was on the outskirts of the town so nice and quiet. They left us a ton of fresh fruit and snacks which was a nice thought. They arranged transfers from and to the airport which I highly recommend. The view was stunning. We would come back
From the minute you arrive to the final minute you leave the experience will be one of spectacular, everything is as advertised and more. The relaxation and views are perfect if you wish to chill out and unwind and with the expansion of Kalamar over the recent years (Not too much) you have enough restaurants nearby if you don’t feel like the 25 minute walk into Kalkan centre. We will definitely be back

The apartment forms part of a small very select development situated in a peaceful location overlooking Kalamar Bay. It is within easy reach of Kalkan, with it's large selection of restaurants, bars, quality shops and picturesque harbour. We understand that Papatya is primarily the owners holiday home, which is certainly reflected in the quality of the furnishings and décor.
For us it has become the perfect holiday location, where we spend our time either relaxing on the garden terrace under the canopy of bourgainvillea, cooling off in one of the swimming pools, or travelling afield to enjoy all that the region has to offer. Our personal favourite is to take an all day boat trip on board a gulet where you get the opportunity to see the coastal scenery, take frequent swims in the warm crystal clear sea, as well as enjoying a bbq lunch cooked by the crew.

"Meltem Apartments (we stayed in 'Koy') are absolutely wonderful; spacious, bright and comfortable, fully equipped (short of nothing) and furnished to a very high standard. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the beds were the most comfortable I've slept in whilst on a holiday. Free Wi-fi is available in the apartment and around the pool, handy for keeping in touch with the family (we go on an annual girlie holiday every year, leaving the hubbies and kids behind!!)
The views from the double balcony are just fabulous and, being in a peaceful, tranquil location, you could sit for hours just admiring the views and enjoying the peace and quiet.
The pools were great, particularly the infinity pool on the top level, and the cleanliness around the pools was spotless. A fridge is provided by the pool for you to cool your drinks, and there is a hot and cold water dispenser by the pool too.
A welcome pack was included, at no extra cost, which was a thoughtful gesture, gratefully received, and comprised of more than we expected.
The apartments are located in a quiet part of Kalkan, in Kalmar Bay, a good 25 - 30 minute walk into Kalkan town (up and down quite a lot of hills). We walked everywhere and, choosing not to take taxis, we met lots of local people from restaurants and hotels who were more than happy to stop and chat. The people in Kalkan are so genuine and friendly, which is why we came back to the same resort for a 2nd year. We enjoyed being indulgent when eating out on an evening, knowing that the walk home would work off some of the calories!!
The apartments are very near to Kalamar Beach Club and Kulube Hotel, both which are well worth a visit (we had great fun on the water trampoline and the inflatable armchair at Kalamar Beach Club).
All in all we had a fabulous holiday. Booking was easy and efficient, and return transfers from the airport were arranged through Feray, who was very helpful throughout, providing us with lots of information before our holiday. I can highly recommend Meltem Apartments for a quiet relaxing break and wouldn't hesitate to return if I go back to Kalkan."

We have stayed at the Kalamar Meltam apartments for 3 years running now. The apartments are spotless, spacious and have everything you need for your stay. The pool and surrounding areas are maintained on a daily basis and it is always very clean. We have never had any issues with ear infections or upset tummies from the pool water which we know happens in other places, it is very clean. Drinking water is supplied by the pool which is kept cool for you-a very nice touch as it is needed in the hot temperatures.
There is staff on site to help and even though they speak little English, somehow you manage to explain what it is you need and they help you. There is also help at the end of the phone supplied, which is located near the pool, from Murat who speaks very good English and again is always very happy to help.
The location of the apartments is a good 25 minute walk outside of Kalkan, which is not an issue for us...but if you don't like walking or are not in good health then this will be quite hard going as the hills can be a challenge!
Local taxis are very prompt, cheap with really nice drivers, so this is an alternative option or you can hire a car at a reasonable price.
The view from the apartments is just fabulous and you will spend the days feeling very relaxed!
If you fancy a change of scenery, the Beach clubs are only 5 minutes from the apartments and they too have everything you need for the day.
There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops in Kalkan...perfect for a nice evening out...nothing too rowdy and its all very traditional Turkish.
Staying here will be one of the best holidays you will have and like us, you will want to return again year after year!

As first time visitors to Kalkun we were instantly struck by the friendliness of the locals. Once you overcome the gradient of some of the hills it is very easy to find your way around on foot and at the end of our stay, we realised that we had not even ventured further that the edges of town! There are so many amazing restaurants but we were best served by one restaurant when advised to have the 'Special Mezze' (not on the menu) Wow!
The appartments are ideally situated to the west of the town and provided a very comfortable, peaceful sancuary where you can fully relax away from the liveliness of the town. With access down to the sea being just a few hundred meters downhill and local bars and restaurants offering takeaway, you are just as well catered for if you choose to 'stay home' any night. The pool and rooftop barbeque area made it very dificult to decide whether to stay home or go out! We saw there were many local places of interest and activities to take part in and we will now definately be going back to hopefully appreciate more than just the wonderful appartments and town of Kalkun.

"We had the most fabulous time. We stayed in a ground floor apartment and had gorgeous views of the pool and the breathtaking bay. We found the apartment spacious and modern and we spent many nights cooking our dinner with the local fresh produce and eating it out on the terrace. The pools were gorgeous and there was plenty of space for everyone to lounge around in the sun.

We had a wonderful holiday in Kalkan and we found the garden apartment ideal for us being very spacious and comfortable. It was marvellous sitting every morning on the patio having breakfast and gazing out to sea at Kalamar Bay with two islands not far off. The apartment itself is well-furnished and has the added quality of being very quiet. It was so relaxing.
Literally only a few steps away within the Kalamar Meltem residence, there are two lovely pools with ample space to relax with umbrellas providing shade when required. We availed of the barbeque facility by the upper pool on several occasions.
We also made use of the rooftop area above the apartment and spent many an evening watching glorious sunsets and enjoying uninterrupted views of Butterfly Bay and beyond.
Kalkan is such a friendly place with a great variety of restaurants serving mouth-watering food at reasonable prices. Doy Doy became a great favourite of ours with its delicious menu and with a great view of Kalkan harbour.
We explored outside Kalkan visiting Patara with its beautiful white sandy beach and its incredible ruins of an ancient civilisation.
We were so happy with our holiday that we shall be returning and have recommended the garden apartment in Kalamar Meltem to our friends and family.
